Infosys co-founders Narayana Murthy, Nandan Nilekani and Kris Gopalakrishnan, space scientist V Adimurthy and architect Achal K Choudhary will be recognised as among the 100 ‘Great IITians’, who rejected the West and chose to stay in India or return to their homeland, contributing to India’s progress. The names of these prominent personalities are part of a book–100 Great IITians: Dedicated to the Service of the Nation — edited by Commander VK Jaitly, a distinguished alumnus of IIT Kharagpur. On Saturday, the book will be launched at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC) by the Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM-Bangalore, will be the guest of honour and IITians from Bengaluru and some other cities will be felicitated. ENS
