Dr. Nagendra Parashar
Dr. Prof. B.S. Nagendra Parashar is an academic leader with over 35 years of experience in engineering education and university administration. He holds degrees in Industrial and Production Engineering, a postgraduate qualification in Production Engineering Systems, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. He has served in reputed institutions such as BITS Pilani, GMR Group, KL University, and Presidency University, and has held senior leadership positions including Dean, Pro Vice Chancellor, Director, and Vice Chancellor. He has served as Vice Chancellor for six years.
With close to three decades of exposure to university-industry linkage mechanisms, he has played a key role in strengthening academia-industry collaboration. He has authored two textbooks in the area of manufacturing and published several research papers. His current work focuses on internships and experiential learning in higher education. He has also contributed to higher education policy as the State Nodal Officer in Himachal Pradesh for the implementation of the National Education Policy, examination reforms, and the introduction of drone technology.
