Dr. Shishir Dutta did his B.E in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech. (Design & Production Engg) from National Institute of Technology. It was followed by M.B.A and Ph.D in Business Management from university of eminence. He has about three decades of experience combined in mining and automobile industry. He is a certified Project Management professional and a qualified lead auditor in Management systems.
He has vast professional experience in the field of Project Management, Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Spares Parts Management, Production, Productivity and Capacity Utilization, Plant Maintenance, Business Process Re-engineering, e-Procurement, e-Sourcing, e-Auction, Enterprise Resource Planning, Vehicle Tracking System and Integrated Mine Management System in large open cast mining projects in India. He has also gathered experience in the R&D centre of a leading car manufacturing company. His contribution in the industry with Change Management and Business Process Re-engineering is noteworthy.
He is a member of several professional bodies. An admirable number of research papers and business cases in the national and international journals/ conferences/seminars are in his credit. He has worked as an academic in-charge in a prestigious corporate training institute of a maharatna company of India. Presently, he is working at a senior position in the subsidiary headquarters of Coal India Ltd.
