Manish Kumar
Dr. Manish Kumar, currently working as Associate Professor, Department of Library & information Science, University of Delhi, Delhi having 21 years of working experience. He earned all his degrees from University of Delhi i.e. B.A.(Hons.) and M.A. in Political Science (Ramjas College), BLISc., MLISc, M.Phil. and PhD. from Department of Library and Information Science. He started his professional journey as Librarian of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, Delhi
in 2004. Dr. Kumar is an erudite orator, engaged in research activities and penned 02 books (co- author), one as editor apart from editing 4 conference proceedings and have written more than 60 research papers. He has guided 04 PhD’s, 5 M.Phil’s and 75 MLISc Dissertations. He is life member of ILA, DLA and other professional associations. Taking note of his acumenship, hard work, commitment to academics and potential to contribute substantially to the LIS Profession, he was awarded the Indian Library Leaders Promising Professional Award-2018 by SRFLIS, The Distinguished Teacher Award-2023 by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad (2023) and DLA-Professional Excellence Award-2023 by Delhi Library Association.
