Babu Nallusamy
Dr. Babu Nallusamy, is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi, Karnataka. He has also worked with Cochin University of Science and Technology and Indian Rare Earths Limited, in the capacity of Lecturer and Petrologist, respectively. Having done his graduation in Geology from the National College, Trichy. Tamil Nadu, he joined Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin, Kerala for his Masters specializing in Marine Geology. He was conferred with CSIR-NET-JRF. Later on, he pursued Ph.D in Geology from National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology awarded by University of Kerala. He has 15 years of teaching experience, and total 15 years of research and industrial experience in India. He has published more than 30 research papers in national and international peer reviewed journals. He has given four invited lecturers in the workshops and national conferences conducted by various universities in India. On his International contribution, he has visited Australia to deliver talk on “Impact of Tsunami on Minerals” in the International Conference conducted by ICAM, Brisbane, Australia in the year 2008. Also delivered talk on Petrography and X-Ray Mineralogy of Cretaceous of Ariyalur Group of Carbonate Fossils of Tiruchirappalli Succession, Tamil Nadu, India, conducted by Palaeontological Research and Education Centre, Mahasarakham University, Thailand in the year 2022. Apart from this, he has been one amongst the editors of an edited volume entitled, Geochemistry and Mineralogy of Coastal Sediments in Tamil Nadu, India. His another book in which he is an editor is Geological Developments in Anthropocene. He has published a book entitled, Laterite-Mineralogy and Geochemistry. He is also reviewer in many international journals. His research intrigue is in the field of Mineralogy, Placer Minerals, Marine Geology, Paleontology-Paleoclimate, Petrology and Fluid Inclusion Studies. Currently, he is a Fellow of Geological Society of India (FGSI).
