M.A. Mohammed Aslam
Prof. M.A. Mohammed Aslam is a Professor in Geology at Central University of Karnataka, India, who earned his Ph.D from University of Mysore, India and doctoral degree from Chiba University, Japan. He took his Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Calicut University with third rank, Master’s degree in Geology from Mysore University with first rank and four gold medals and a cash prize. He was the recipient of CSIR-JRF (NET) and CSIR-SRF fellowships during the tenure of research. He was the recipient of Japanese Government Fellowship. Presently he is heading the Department of Geology and the holding the position of Dean, School of Earth Sciences at Central University of Karnataka. He is one of the efficient academicians, who demonstrated his capacity as an able academic administrator, renowned educationist and a committed scientist. His research interests include Remote Sensing and Hydrogeology related to water resources. He is an editor of the book, Geological Developments in Anthropocene.
