Meera
Dr. Meera is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Delhi, where she has been serving since 2003. Her academic journey began with a BLISc, and MLISc from Bananas Hindu University, followed by a PhD from Karnatak University, Dharwad. She started her career as an Assistant Librarian at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Hardwar. Dr. Meera’s contributions to the field of Library and Information Science are remarkable. She has co-edited 5 books and authored over 80 research papers published in reputed
national and international journals. Her research work has been presented at various conferences, and she has served on editorial boards and committees, showcasing her expertise. A dedicated professional, Dr. Meera is a life member of several prestigious associations, including DLA, ILA, IASLICs, IATLIS, and DUTA. Her leadership skills were recognized when she became the first woman Senior Vice President of the Delhi Library Association in 2022, a testament to her commitment to the profession.
